Butterfly mini album, Part I Monday, April 16 at 5:30, $20

The pages are all connect to look like a Z down the center
The album opens from both sides; I used the light pink papers on this side
I used the darker, magenta papers on the other side of the album
The envelopes create pockets and flaps; this is just one page with the flap folded over
This is the same page but with the end flap opened exposing another pocket

Policy envelopes are the envelopes which have the opening at the long end like this:

The paper pack I used is from Hobby Lobby called Posh by Teresa Collins for $10.99.  It is two sided paper and is filled with butterfly images and tags.

In Class I we will assemble the entire album with a chipboard back and cover and ribbon closure.  We will also make the tags to fit the album and I will show you how to make other kinds of tags that you can use in most all other albums, including a 4 way flip mini album tag.  After class you will be sent an email with PDF instructions on how to assemble the album yourself which will include dimensions on making the tags.

In Class II we will embellish the album with embossed butterflies, die cut butterflies, and stamps on all the pages and tags.
Supplies need for this class will include:

A Martha Stewart Scoring Board and bone folder
A Paper Trimmer
A bottle of Glossy  Accents
Two sided tape such as Scor-Tape or Red sticky back tape, 1/2 inch or larger
Heat gun -- very important for class II

If you would like to take this class, please email me by Saturday, April 14 at the latest.  You need to register for class I in order to take class II.

Class instructions now available thru ADOBE Reader

Hi Everyone,

I have finally found a way to reduce the file size of my instructions which I provide to all students who take my classes.  Previously I was having trouble emailing my instructions because they were very large attachments via email and not everyone's email servers would allow such huge attachments.  But now, thanks to Carol at www.carolcreative.com, I've been shown how to convert these files into Adobe PDF files which greatly reduced the size of the files.

In order for you all to be able to open the files, you will need to have Adobe Reader on your computer.  It is a free program which can be downloaded from here:  http://get.adobe.com/reader   .   I will still email the instructions as attachments but now they should go through to everyone, regardless of what email provider you are using.

I was introduced to Carol through a website that I've been purchasing envelopes from for the mini albums we've been making in class.  She is going to be featuring me on their website at www.envelopes.com.  So if you like envelopes in all different colors and sizes, this is the place to check out.  You will be amazed at the color selection and variety of sizes.  They have over 70 different colors of just the #10 envelopes we've been using  http://www.envelopes.com/business/regular/10-square-flap-envelopes.  I'm addicted to this company now, I love their product.  They also sell cardstock and paper in all those different colors to match your envelopes.  You'll be seeing more of these envelopes in my minis to come shortly.

If you have any questions about Adobe Reader, please feel free to email me back.

Flower Sweet Treat Cards and Bunny Sweet Treat Card postponed until further notice

These cards can either hold candy or seed beads, and they have a "trap door" to use to keep refilling the cups with candy.  So simple to make and kids will love opening them up to get at the candy, just in time for Easter.  If you want to fill them with seed beads we will close them up permanently and make them into shaker cards.

Make as many of these flowers and bunnies as you can in the class time we have.  All materials provided, even the candy.  After class you will be sent an email with PDF instructions on how to make both of these cards on your own at home, including all the specific measurements.  Please do not share these instructions with people who have not taken my classes as the instructions are available to anyone who wants to purchase them from me directly.

You will need to bring the following supplies:

A bottle of Glossy Accents
A paper trimmer
Roller Adhesive and Scor-tape or red sticky back tape 1/8 inch (the skinniest size)

Easter / Spring Cards, Monday, March 5, 5:30 to 7:30, $20

This is just a SMALL sample of the cards we will be making.............I have a lot more available.  This class will be all up to you to make the cards however you want them to look -- you choose your background paper, you choose the stamp (already colored in), edge punch the card if you want, die cut a shape on it if you want, cut out the stamps,  apply stickles, etc.  All materials provided.  Make as many cards as you can in the two hour class.

Supplies you need to bring:

A paper trimmer
Roller adhesive and 1/2 inch or 1/4 inch Scor-Tape or other two sided permanent tape
Lots of Foam dots to add dimension to your cards
A bag to put your scraps in to take home with you as you will have a lot of scraps

Please email me by Sunday, March 4 if you want to reserve a spot in this class.  My email is anngreenspan@gmail.com.

Flip Album, Monday, March 19, 5:30 - 7:45pm, $20

This album "flips" open revealing a top page that has a large envelope pocket and a bottom page with two smaller gatefold envelope pockets that hold tags.  When you open the gatefold pockets, there are 3 photo/ journaling spots inside; a large one in the middle and two smaller ones to the sides.  The entire album is 5 pages held together with a ribbon.

We will assemble the pages to the album in class but won't have time to embellish all the pages or make the tags.  I will provide written instructions which I email to all students after class, on how to make the entire album; however, they are now PDF files and you will need Adobe Reader, a free program you can download online, in order to open the instruction files.    Thanks to Carol at www.carolcreative.com who informed me on how to do this.
If you want to take this class, you will need to bring the following materials and supplies:

Martha Stewart scoring board and bone folder
Paper trimmer
Scor-Tape or red sticky back tape 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch wide
An edge punch of your choice for the top of the big envelopes as in the photo above
Crop-a-Dile if you have one or a 3/16 inch hole punch, bring both if you have them
Your paper pack that you will use to cover the album pages with

We can either make this album in class with my paper and do it as a test run and you make your own at home with your paper that matches the scrapbook paper you will cover it with, or you can bring paper to make the album with and then cover it at home with scrapbook paper.  Let me know which you want to do.  If you want to bring your own paper, you will need at least 15 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock paper, not super heavy weight, medium weight works best, such as the paper you get in the 50 sheet packs from Michaels or JoAnns.  15 sheets should allow room for errors in cutting or scoring.

Bring your scrapbook paper packs with you just in case we have time to start covering the album pages.  I will have two paper packs to sell, the one I used by DCWV called Green Tea and another one by K& Co. if you wish to purchase either in class.

Please email me by Saturday, March 17 if you wish to reserve a spot in this class.  My email address is anngreenspan@gmail.com.

Greeting Card Gift Box, Monday, March 12, 5:30-7:45pm, $20.00

These boxes will hold a ton of A2 cards and envelopes and are a great way to give a lot of cards as a gift to someone.

For this class, we will learn how to make both the box and the embellishments on the box.  I will provide a selection of two sided paper to use in making the boxes and will also provide everything necessary to make the embellishments, the flowers and the flower centers.  We will also make the box pleated ribbon roses that we were going to make on the faux leather purses.

Please bring the following tools for this class:
Martha Stewart Scoring Board with the envelope corner and bone folder
Scissors,  Two sided permanent tape 1/2 inch wide such as Scor-Tape or red sticky back tape
A glue gun with a fine tip and extra glue sticks (if you have this)
A bottle of Glossy Accents

Please email me at anngreenspan@gmail.com by Saturday, March 10 if you would like to take this class.

Matchbooks Class - Monday, Feb. 20, 10:00-12:00, $25.00

This is the last time this class is being offered...............these matchbooks can also go in the purses that are being made on Feb. 22, see separate post for those.

Matchbooks hold wallet sized photos on each of the tags and you can also put photos or journaling on the pockets that hold the tags.  Then the pockets and tags are all enclosed in a matchbook cover with a bellyband.  When you open the cover, the pockets and tags flip down on their own like a fan just dying to be looked at.

Supplies needed are:

Martha Stewart Scoring Board and bone folder or let me know to bring an extra for you
Paper trimmer
One sheet of one sided scrapbook paper which will make your 6 pockets (bring 2 if you want to leave room for cutting errors)

Envelope Mini Album Series, Album #1, Monday, Feb. 20, President's Day, time to be determined

Learn how to turn some #10 business envelopes into a mini album with tons of pockets.  Go from this:
To this:

This is the paper pack I used which is on sale now 50% off at Hobby Lobby:

Stay tuned as the time for this class will be announced shortly.  All scrapbook paper and paper packs are on sale at 50% off this week, 2/6 thru 2/11.  That makes a $19.99 pack just $9.99.  You can't beat that anywhere.  Using a paper pack that already has the coordinating paper makes putting these albums together so much quicker and easier.  Hobby Lobby now carries top name brands of paper packs such as My Mind's Eye, 7 Gypsies, and others.   These envelope albums don't use a lot of paper, so if you want, you can hold on to the paper and use it for the other envelope classes coming up as well.

Faux Leather Purses, Wed., Feb. 29, 5:30pm, $20

This class is mostly about technique -- how to give cardboard (like that from cereal boxes) and cardstock a faux leather look.  You will be shown two totally different methods at making the faux leather look using different mediums.

These purses are great for holding post-it note pads, or you can attach the matchbooks mini album that we are making in class this month to the inside of the purse and the tags and pockets will open on their own.  You will also be shown how to take a #10 envelope and make a tiny gift bag out of it to put inside the purse so it can hold the 3x4 mini brag books we made, or just fill it with candy.

All materials will be provided for this class.  All you need to bring is your Martha Stewart Scoring Board, a bone folder, scissors, a heat gun (if you own one), and a non-stick craft mat or some newspaper to cover your work surface with, a paper trimmer, **a Versamark cler ink pad like in the photo below,  and a fine tip glue gun if you have one.

Please email me by Monday, Feb. 27 if you wish to reserve a spot in this class.  My email is anngreenspan@gmail.com
