This album "flips" open revealing a top page that has a large envelope pocket and a bottom page with two smaller gatefold envelope pockets that hold tags. When you open the gatefold pockets, there are 3 photo/ journaling spots inside; a large one in the middle and two smaller ones to the sides. The entire album is 5 pages held together with a ribbon.
We will assemble the pages to the album in class but won't have time to embellish all the pages or make the tags. I will provide written instructions which I email to all students after class, on how to make the entire album; however, they are now PDF files and you will need Adobe Reader, a free program you can download online, in order to open the instruction files. Thanks to Carol at www.carolcreative.com who informed me on how to do this.
If you want to take this class, you will need to bring the following materials and supplies:
Martha Stewart scoring board and bone folder
Scor-Tape or red sticky back tape 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch wide
An edge punch of your choice for the top of the big envelopes as in the photo above
Crop-a-Dile if you have one or a 3/16 inch hole punch, bring both if you have them
Your paper pack that you will use to cover the album pages with
We can either make this album in class with my paper and do it as a test run and you make your own at home with your paper that matches the scrapbook paper you will cover it with, or you can bring paper to make the album with and then cover it at home with scrapbook paper. Let me know which you want to do. If you want to bring your own paper, you will need at least 15 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock paper, not super heavy weight, medium weight works best, such as the paper you get in the 50 sheet packs from Michaels or JoAnns. 15 sheets should allow room for errors in cutting or scoring.
Bring your scrapbook paper packs with you just in case we have time to start covering the album pages. I will have two paper packs to sell, the one I used by DCWV called Green Tea and another one by K& Co. if you wish to purchase either in class.
Please email me by Saturday, March 17 if you wish to reserve a spot in this class. My email address is email@example.com.
