Frantic Stamper Happy Birthday Script die meets Spellbinder's Detailed Scallops

Tutorial on how to make a card using fancy edged dies:

The above card looks involved to make but is actually quite easy if you cut two panels of the Spellbinder's Card Creator Detailed Scallops and then hinge them together inside where no one will ever see the hinge.

For demonstration purposes, I am using a different panel than one cut using the Spellbinder's Detailed Scallops, but the process is the same:

After you have the two  identical panels cut out,  take a piece of cardstock measuring
3.25" x 1" and score it vertically at 1/2" on your scoring board.

Adhere one side of the hinge to the back panel just under where the design ends.  Make sure the score line on your hinge is below the die cut area of the back panel.   Reinforce the score line.

Put adhesive on the other side of the hinge and be ready to adhere it but don't do it yet.  Line up the two  panels so the designs are lined up perfectly on top of each other (I start with the bottom and work my way up) , then press down at the top area securing the hinge to the front panel.

When you open the card, the hinge will be hidden by the inside panel you can put in for people to write on.

Once the card base is done, you can decorate it as you wish.  I used the following on  my card:

I am entering this card in the Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge shown here:
