Red and White Sun Rays card
Yesterday's post showed a card with a deer bust on a red, white and blue Christmas card. Today's card uses the white rays (plus some extras) that were cut from yesterday's card.
I cut the red pattern paper first with the Frantic Stamper Sun Rays Quilted Card Panel and used the frame and some of the stitched rays in that red pattern paper. Using just a glue pen, I adhered the frame to a layer of the same pattern paper, only putting the glue on the outer four sides of the frame and not on any of the skinny spokes in between or the middle circle. This gives you room to adhere the stitched rays and be able to move them around to fit perfectly in between the spokes.
After the stitched rays were all adhered, I cut out the Round Scalloped Vignette using gold foil cardstock by Frantic Stamper. I used the center stitched white circle that was cut when I cut out the Sun Rays Quilted Card Panel for the center focal point and stamped it with "Season's Greetings" from the Round Christmas Vignettes Clear Stamp Set. To finish off the center ornament I cut one of the ornament toppers from the Large Solid Ornament Duo die set with gold foil cardstock.
The trees are each made by cutting two of the larger Snow Globe Triangle Trees and one of the smaller trees layered on top and folded in half lengthwise. The stars on top of the trees are cut from the Diagonal Card Sketcher die.
The final step in making the card was to adhere a few of the smallest snowflakes from the Snowflake Flurries die set.
Fun fact: Did you know that Frantic Stamper not only makes and sells their own line of stamps and dies, but they also have their own line of foiled cardstock. You can see all the colors they sell here:
They have both 12 x 12 and 8.5 x 11 sizes in 8 different colors. I love the Aqua Blue and Magenta Pink colors.
