Flag Trio Happy Holidays

For this card I used Authentique papers called Christmastime Collection from Frantic Stamper for the fishtails which were cut using the Frantic Stamper Flag Trio die set.  The Happy Holidays die was cut using a light green glitter paper, and the flowers are the Petite Layering Flowers with Petite Leaves.

I think when the Petite Flowers are cut out on red foiled cardstock, they look very Christmasy.

Black and White Thank You cards

I combined the Dreamy Dandelion die by Frantic Stamper with the Agapanthus Thanks stamp set by Stampendous which is also available at Frantic Stamper.

The "thanks" stamp is from the Many Thanks Clear Stamp set.

Lonely Toadstool

One lonely toadstool wishing there was another one to talk to................I used the newly released Frantic Stamper Toadstool along with the Wishing clear stamp set.

I can definitely see myself using this toadstool die on a lot more cards.

Fall Thank You cards

I've been wanting to use these Petite Maple Leaves with the Medium Bare Ash for a while but had so much going on lately that I haven't spent a lot of time making cards (just like everyone this time of year, right?).

I used the Many Thanks Clear Stamp set for the harvest looking moon and some background paper that I think I got at Joann Fabric year's ago.  The embossing is a leaf embossing folder by Tim Holtz.

The leaves were made by using various alcohol inks on glossy photo paper.  I like how the inks all blend together to give the look of real leaves.

Here's another card that I made but this time I put on the word Thankful and used the Medium Bare Elm instead of the Bare Ash.  I used the stitched rectangle from the Elementals #1 set.

Happy Hanukkah

I used the Frantic Stamper Menorah, cutting it out with silver mirrorboard and then cutting just the tips again with blue foiled cardstock.  Placed it on a white Stitched Oval which went on top of an embossed panel of blue foiled cardstock and the card was done.  One the inside I stamped "Happy Hannukah".

You also get flames with this Menorah die but I chose to leave them off rather than start trouble for having a flame on the wrong candle / candles.   This is what the die set looks like:

Black and White Starfall cards

Frantic Stamper has a fairly new die out called Starfall Reverse Cut.  This die cuts stars of all different sizes into your paper.  I used black cardstock and cut the die into it then layered it right on top of my white card base.   If you click on the link above in this paragraph, it will take you to the Starfall Reverse cut die in the Frantic Stamper store where you can also see other cards that were made using this die.

Other Frantic Stamper dies I used are the Stitched Ovals, Snow Globe Fancy Deer (the small guy), and the Large Fancy Deer.

Holiday Thank You cards

All of these cards were made using the Frantic Stamper Thanks Card Band.  This die cuts the word right into the card front.  You can position it diagonally on your card or horizontally.  It's a great way to use up patterned paper that can be made into the card base.

Card 1 also uses the In Stitches die above and below the word Thanks.  I just cut the line stitches die into the blue metallic cardstock then cut along both sides to detach it and reattach to my card.  The Holly Leaves and Berries finish off the card with a holiday look.

For the second card, I used a piece of dsp (pattern cardstock) and cut it to an A2 card base size of 8.5 x 5.5, folding it in half so it was 4.25 x 5.5".  I cut the Thanks die right into the front of the card base and backed it with gold foil cardstock.

The third card was made the same way only using a different embellishment.  I used the Snow Globe Triangle Trees die and Triangle Trees Clear Stamp set.

The last card was also made using pattern paper that I cut to the A2 card size and cut the Thanks directly into the card front, backing it with a piece of white cardstock.  To finish the card I adhered a Pinecone diecut and attached a little metallic bow that I punched out using a tiny EKSuccess punch.

Two Terriers Black and White Christmas Card

Aren't these terriers the cutest?  They are the Frantic Stamper Two Terriers (there is actually a different terrier in the set along with this one).  I cut one of the terriers into the white top panel revealing the black dotted paper below then used that cut out next to the reverse cut terrier.  Quick way to get two dogs out of one cut.  The stamps are white heat embossed on black cardstock.

I also used the stitched rectangle that is leftover when cutting out the Elementals #1, and two stamps from the Triangle Trees Clear Stamp set.  The bow is an EK Success punch.

This is what the Two Terriers die set looks like:

Frantic Stamper Stuffed Tiger and Toadstools

This little Stuffed Tiger would look great on a baby card but I also had just gotten the new Toadstool die and wanted to use them together on one card.

The background was made using the Horizontal Birch Tree Card Panel.  I also used the Petite Butterflies and Jar Bugs.

Gingerbread Boy meets Gingerbread Girl

You can't have a Gingerbread Boy without a Gingerbread Girl, now can you?  The outfit on the Gingerbread Girl was hand made; it is not part of the die set  accessories other than the cute bow in her hair.

I also used the Chevron borders and edgers for the white "ric rac" effect at the bottom of the card and the Sweet word die.

Thank You Cards in School Colors

Yesterday I posted some Thank You cards that my nephew asked for as he is attending WVU on a scholarship and wanted to thank his scholarship providers at the end of each semester.  These are two more cards that I made for him to use.  I wanted to keep them masculine looking and kind of preppy.

The first card uses the Frantic Stamper Triangle Card Panel which I cut out in blue cardstock.  I filled in some of the triangles in order to give the words "thank you" some solid space behind them then propped the panel up on a white card base with foam tape.

The second card was also made using the Accessory Words #3 which contains the dies "thank" and "you" among others.   The fishtails are the  Flag Trio die set which I cut in 3 different colors and layered on top of each other.

You could make these cards in any school colors for high school or college students.

Frantic Stamper Thanks Card Band

The Thanks Card Band by Frantic Stamper cuts the letters into your card and leaves them attached at the top and bottom leaving unlimited possibilities for designing the card.

I chose to cover the top and bottom of the front of the card with dsp and fill in behind the letters with a piece of light blue vellum.

I'm entering this top card in the following challenges:

http://cuttlebugmania.blogspot.com/:  Many Thanks.  And I'm entering a Clean and  Simple card here:

http://thecardconcept.blogspot.com/2015/11/card-concept-43-thank-fall.html which can be seen here:

In need of a quick thank you card?  This die can be cut into a white card, not adding any color to it, and it looks beautiful.  But, my nephew who is attending WVU on a scholarship, asked if I would make him some thank you cards to send to the scholarship providers, so here are some that I made using this card band.  The WVU colors are blue and yellow.

So, how easy is it to make this card you ask?  Follow these few simple steps and your card will be done in 10 or less:

1.  Measure your card base to 10" x 5" and fold in half, making the card 5 x 5.

2.  Place the Thanks Card Band on the front of the card trying to center it left to right and top to bottom if desired.  Tape it in place and run it through your die cutting machine.  Placing the tape on both ends of the die will not interfere with the card as these two pieces of card will be discarded.

Put the cover plate on and run through your machine.

It comes out looking like this (minus the throw away pieces):

Adhere a piece of cardstock behind the letters if desired:

3.  Your card is done.  Decorate and embellish as you wish.

I'll post more thank you cards using other dies tomorrow.

Christmas Wishes

To make this card, I used the smallest of the  Frantic Stamper Stitched Rectangles for the presents  and the Tied Strings for the bows.  The words are from the Merry Christmas set and the Warm Wishes; I just used part of each set.

The gold dotted embossed paper is made by The Paper Company.  It is from my stash of papers that are pretty old so I'm not sure if Michaels or JoAnn Fabric even carries it anymore.

The presents are actually raised up for dimension but you can't tell in the above photo.  You can see it a little better in this photo.  And yes, I just noticed that part of my silver ribbon on the gold present fell off before the photo and the card is already on it's way somewhere so I can't retake the photo.

Silver Trees in a Black Night Sky

The trees are made using the Frantic Stamper Snow Globe Triangle Trees.  I cut the largest tree for the back layer out of silver foil cardstock and the top layer out of some silver embossed paper.

I used the largest of the Stitched Ovals to cut the oval into the top white panel of the card and popped that up with foam tape.  I embossed the black card base with a Swiss Dots EF so the dots would show through the oval opening.  The finishing touch was to add the bow which is from the Easter Icons and the star which is from the Starfall card panel.

I'm entering this card in the Paper Players Blog Challenge:  PP270 a Color Challenge from Joanne

Red and Green Joy

This card was made using all products from the Frantic Stamper store.

I started off by cutting the two red panels the same size as the border embossing folder in the set called Lattice Bow by Tattered Lace.  I love the wafer look that you get when using this folder.    Then I embossed a piece of gold foil cardstock with the bow on a string embossing folder and manually cut it out.  You can see this set of embossing folders here:

Tattered Lace Lattice Bow

After assembling the front of the card, I cut out the Frantic Stamper word die Enjoy on gold foil cardstock but cut off the "en" so I just had the word JOY.

Did you know Frantic Stamper carries not only her own line of dies and stamps but also hundreds of other dies, stamps and paper such as  Memory Box, Cheery Lynn Designs, Spellbinders, Tim Holtz,  etc.  Just go here to see all the other manufacturers products she carries:  http://www.franticstamper.com/products-by-manufacturer.html.

Chances are if you are looking for a particular die or stamp and it's out of stock elsewhere, Frantic Stamper will have it in stock.  And her shipping is super fast.  I live on the east coast, she is located on the west coast, and I always have my order within 2 business days.

Gold and White Heralding Angel

I've been on a kick making gold and white cards lately, but this card was made mostly with leftovers that didn't make it on previous cards.  The gold embossed dotted background is a designer paper that I purchased from Michaels years ago but JoAnn Fabric also carried it.

I used the following Frantic Stamper dies and stamps:

Northern Star................09246

Heralding Angel...........09079

Snow Globe Triangle Trees...........09672

Stitched Ovals.............09638

Triangle Trees Clear Stamp Set........FRA-CL-027

To see any of these dies, just click on the links above and you will be taken right to the Frantic Stamper online store or you can see all the dies and other products available at Frantic Stamper here:

A Pink and Green Christmas card

I know I've made a few previous Christmas cards with pink and green but I really like the colors together, even though they aren't your typical red and green or silver and gold.

I used the following dies by Frantic Stamper:

Snow Globe Triangle Trees...............-09672

Starfall Reverse cut (stars).........09614

Stitched Rectangles ..................09640

Stitched Scene Builder Edgers.........09403

Triangle Card Panel...................09267

The tiny bow is an EKSuccess punch.

The two-tone green background was made using the Triangle Card Panel layered on top of a dotted green dsp.

The two trees on the left of the card are made with Authentique paper which is available at Frantic Stamper here:  http://www.franticstamper.com/Authentique--Spectrum-dots-stripes-patterns_c_7779.html

Christmas Words Tree

To make this tree, I used all Frantic Stamper dies:

Round Vignette Joy Insert (-09627)

Love from the Accessory Words #3 (09467)

Peace..................-09247

Believe............-09253

Petite Layering Flowers ..................-09192

Northern Star................09246

I started by measuring the largest word, Christmas, and making the triangle based on that.  Then I was able to fit all the other words on.  The fonts on each die are different and I think that makes the card unique looking.

The little red flowers are the Petite Layering Flowers.  I just rolled them with a stylus and added a tiny gold pearl to the centers.  When these flowers are cut out on red foiled cardstock, I think they look like tiny poinsettias.  Frantic Stamper also has their own line of foiled cardstock sold by the sheet which can be seen here:  http://www.franticstamper.com/search.asp?keyword=fra-foilcs&search.x=0&search.y=0&search=GO

The tree looked a little lost on the card so I cut a layer of gold foiled cardstock for a slighter larger triangular frame behind it and then added some rolled up gold cording.

Thanks for looking.

Snowcapped Pine Cone

This Pine Cone die that Frantic Stamper designed is just gorgeous.  But when you embellish the petals on it with a white gel pen and roll a stylus on the back side giving it some dimension it is even more stunning.   It was made to fit on the Pine Bough and it does, perfectly!

I used the Merry Christmas die and cut part in red glitter paper and the other in green glitter paper to make them stand out on the embossed black background.  The font on this Merry Christmas die reminds me of the font used on nostalgic Christmas cards and is just beautiful.  I embossed the entire card, before adhering the pinecone, with a Sizzix embossing folder that has the definition of Peace and Joy on it.

Masculine "Just a Note" Birthday card

Another card that I made using the new Frantic Stamper "Just a Note to Say" die.  This time I paired it with the Musical Score die, Happy Happy Happy die and Birthday from the Script Happy Birthday.

A little faux stitching around the edge of the card and some sequins and the card was done.

I'm entering this card in the Card Concept challenge #43 (Thank-Fall) seen here, using the Clean & Graphic card style:

http://thecardconcept.blogspot.com/2015/11/card-concept-43-thank-fall.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheCardConcept+%28The+Card+Concept%29

Peace Love Joy coordinating die and stamp tutorial

If you click on the photos, they will enlarge and you will be able to see the cards a little better.  The flash on my camera was a little too bright, even after photo editing.

I used the Stitched Scene Builder Edgers to make the snowy hills in the background and the largest of the Stitched Ovals on top of that.  The trees are actually stamps in a set called Triangle Trees that I embossed with a very fine antique gold embossing powder then cut them out with the Snowglobe Triangle Trees die set.  I normally stay away from stamp and die coordinated sets but these are very easy to stamp and cut out.  Let me show you a trick.

First I manually traced around the tree dies on a piece of white cardstock.  Then I stamped the tree stamps, centering them inside the tracings.   Once the embossing was done, I placed the tree die back over it's traced area and ran it though my die cutting machine.  This process allowed me to line up the stamps inside the die and eliminated any guesswork.

Here are some photos of the process:

I did the 5 large trees and am now working on the 5 smaller trees

I traced the die on my cardstock, stamped the trees in the center of the tracings and heat embossed.

Then I placed the die back over the tracings, taped it to the paper and cut it out.

Perfection every time.

Here are the other dies I used on the card:

Peace -09247

Enjoy (cut off the "En" to get the word "joy") -09361

Accessory Words #3 (love) -09467
