You Light Up my Life

I used the following Frantic Stamper dies and stamps to make this card:

Corner Sun Rays Quilted Card Panel 09730
Clear Stamp Set FRA-CL-039

Just cut the Sun Rays die once in white and again in yellow so you can fill in the alternating rays with opposite colors.  There are so many things you can do with the Sun Rays die.  To see more cards I made using this die, go to my Flickr page here:  https://www.flickr.com/photos/anngcrafts/.

Thanks for stopping by.

Masculine Valentine's Day card

Not your typical cutesy, red and pink Valentine, but suitable to send to a guy.

I used the Frantic Stamper Ombre Chevron Card Panel for the background and the Starfall Reverse Cut panel for the center of the heart.  The heart is made using the Country Heart die set and the word "hugs" is from the Accessory Words #3 set.

Here is another card I made using the Country Heart die set:

The tiny word "hugs" on this card and the smaller hearts are from the Valentine Confetti die set.

Fairy Wishes

When I saw this  Frantic Stamper Fairy die, I immediately thought of having her sit upon a  Mushroom.  I also used a Toadstool  set of dies and put a tiny Grass Edger in front of them.

These are the dies I used to make the card.  The background paper is from Hobby Lobby.

Skunk Kiss Me

For this card I used the Frantic Stamper Adorable Skunk die, Tribal Card Panel and the Handwritten Kiss Me.

Who wouldn't want to take their chances kissing this cute skunk?

Noah's African Animals birthday card

Part of the January release by Frantic Stamper is a group of realistic looking animal dies that go with the also released Noah's Ark.

I used the group called Noah's African Animals #2 for my card, along with the Stitched Cloud Edgers (which I used for the hills),  Birthday Icons, Trio of Threes, and Celebrations Clear Stamp set.  The letters "rd" are from the new die set called "dhnrst".

You can see the entire January release here:  http://www.franticstamper.com/January-2016-release_c_7998.html

Valentine Tree

A very quick and easy card to make using Frantic Stamper Stitched Ovals and Medium Bare Ash.

I used the tiny hearts that cut out from the Reverse Random Hearts Border, Vertical die  and the Valentine Lines Clear Stamp set for the "Hugs & Kisses".

Bob's Old Truck cards

Frantic Stamper Bob's Old Truck die for masculine cards of all occasions.

King Kong hugs

I wanted to use the gorilla from the Noah's African Animals #2 die set in a different way so I cut one arm to make it look like the gorilla was reaching for the planes and put him on top of a cityscape.

I used these Frantic Stamper dies:

San Francisco Cityscape 09516

Pinprick Circles 09643

Valentine Confetti (hugs) 09717

Village Sky (planes) 09549

Noah's African Animals #2 09789

Masculine Valentine cards

I saw a card similar to this on Splitcoast Stampers by "rokale" but her card used the Stampin Up Loads of Love stamp whereas I used Bob's Old Truck die by Frantic Stamper.

Other Frantic Stamper dies I used on this card include:  Reverse Random Hearts Border Vertical (09704), Diagonal Card Sketcher (09375), Stitched Ovals (09638), and the Valentine Lines Clear Stamp set (FRA-CL-029).

Below is another card I made using Frantic Stamper dies and stamps:

This card uses the Frantic Stamper Bi-Plane (09489), Accessory Words #3 (09467), Valentine Confetti (09717), and the Valentine Clear Stamp set (above).

Every Cloud has a Silver Lining

Frantic Stamper has their newest release of dies and stamps on their website now.  One of the new dies is the Stitched Cloud Edgers 09794.  I cut the cloud edgers 3 times and layered them above a few Stitched Scene Builder Edgers 09403.  The top yellow area was made using the Sunburst Card Panel 09141.

The deer are the Buck and Doe  09227.   The sentiment was computer typed and printed.

Here is another card I made using the same Stitched Clouds:

For this second card, I used the Mountain Edger and the Evergreen Forest Edger dies in addition to the dies on the first card.

You can see all the newest release dies and stamps for Frantic Stamper here:

Ladybug Hugs

I love these Frantic Stamper ladybugs and decided to use them on a Valentine card so I cut them out with pink shells instead of red.  The card base is the Frantic Stamper Arches Frames which I cut out with a heavy cardstock.  The green leaves are the Petite Leaves, also from Frantic Stamper.  These leaves fit perfectly on the Sizzix Textured Impressions embossing folder from the Fall Set by Rachael Bright, which just happens to be on sale right now at Frantic Stamper.

The word "hugs" is from the Frantic Stamper Accessory Words die set #3.  I wish I could find a word die for the word "ladybug" because I think Ladybug Hugs would fit this card perfectly.

The pink panel is also embossed with a Sizzix EF but I don't know the name of it.  It's just a bunch of hearts in all different directions.  Wouldn't it be nice if Sizzix printed the names of their EF's on the folders themselves for future reference?  If you know the name of this EF, would you mind letting me know in the comments.  Thanks.

Bunny Hop

I'm entering this card in the Impression Obsession blog challenge:  Spring Colors which can be seen here:

http://mitrafriant.typepad.com/impression_obsession_news/2016/01/new-impression-obsession-challenge-spring-colors.html

I used the Hollyhocks die (DIE169-R),  the Bunny Set (DIE043-G), the Rectangles 6 in 1 die set (DIE242-YY)  and the background stamp called Cover a Card Fluff.  The stitched hill is by Frantic Stamper.

So Very Thankful

I'm entering this card in the Impression Obsession blog challenge:  Spring Colors which can be seen here:  http://mitrafriant.typepad.com/impression_obsession_news/2016/01/new-impression-obsession-challenge-spring-colors.html.

I used the Hollyhocks die #DIE169-R and the So Very Thankful stamp (B3548) by Impression Obsession.  The stitched oval is from Frantic Stamper.  The banner for the stamp is handcut.

Lattice Heart cards

I used the new Frantic Stamper Lattice Heart for the above cards.  The die comes with the lattice in the middle of the heart and the looped fringe around the outside, all in one die.  I also used the following dies from Frantic Stamper:

Lattice Heart (09739)
Happy Anniversary die (09745)
Rose Heart (09312)
Great Grandfather's Letter Cling Stamp (FRA-CLG-0504) -- background on card 1

Winter Hugs

To make this card I first cut out the Frantic Stamper Triangle Card Panel die on white cardstock and layered it right onto the black card base.   I saved all the little white triangles that were cut out to use on a future card.

For the tag, I used a precut tag from Recollections and inked it up with Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, and Mustard Seed distress inks.  Then I took some white acrylic paint and smeared it in a few areas with my finger across the tag after the ink had dried.  The stamp is the Penny Black Winter Ledge stamp and the word "hugs" is from the Frantic Stamper Accessory Words #3 die set.

Valentine Hugs

Valentine's Day is just over a month away so I guess it's time to start making Valentine cards.

I used the Country Heart for the 3 big hearts and the Valentine Confetti for the smaller hearts and word "hugs".  I absolutely love the size of the words that come in the Valentine Confetti die set.  They fit on an A2 card perfectly.

Romantic Scribble Rose

Here's another card using the new Frantic Stamper Scribble Roses die set.  This time I used the flower from the small rose die and added it to the center of the big rose.  The heart outline is from the Rose Heart die set.

The lips are from the Valentine Confetti set.  Design Team member Kia Gibson-Clapper originally put the rhinestone on a pair of lips she had on one of her cards and I absolutely loved the idea so I asked her if I could use it.

The word "kisses" is from the Accessory Words #3 set.  I placed the word on one of the new Stitched Petal Rectangles.

Frantic Stamper's Scribble Roses

Just a quick card using the Frantic Stamper Scribble Roses die.  I cut it out with white cardstock, then adhered that to a piece of vellum and manually cut the vellum to fit the die.  On the back side I colored it in with Copic markers.

The outer frame is the Frantic Stamper Stitched Petal Squares.

Winter Fox

So many of us are experiencing freezing cold temperatures right now that I thought it would be appropriate to make a wintery card.

I used the Adorable Fox by Frantic Stamper and cut it out with a brushed white vellum first then again with white cardstock for the fill in pieces.  The trees in the background are from the Evergreen Forest Edger and the tall trees in the front are the Tall Pine Trees.

I also used a Stitched Scene Builder Edger for the hill behind the fox.

The background paper is also available at Frantic Stamper.  It is the Echo Park Hello Winter paper pack.

I'm entering this card in the Cuttlebug Mania Challenge :  Something New seen here:

http://cuttlebugmania.blogspot.com/2016/01/a-new-cuttlebug-mania-year.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+CuttlebugMania+%28Cuttlebug+Mania%29

The "new" item for my card is the new color the fox has turned for the winter.  This is what he looked like in the Spring:

Color Wheel of Life Challenge

Kia from Splitcoast Stampers has a challenge called The Wheel of Life which can be seen here:
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/clean-simple-cards-f239/cas357-colour-wheel-life-t606295.html#post21143553.

My birthday falls within the "green" color on the wheel so I  had to use green and the colors next to green which are turquoise and olive.    I wanted a thank you card that could be given to either a male or female so I kept the card fairly simple and with no flowers.   I used the Frantic Stamper Cheesy Card Panel to cut out all the circles in one sweep per color.  Then I used the Accessory Words #3 for the "thank you".

Thanks, Kia, for coming up with this challenge and teaching me about the Color Wheel of Life, which I will definitely use on future cards.

Blue Valentine Cards

Card #1 was made using the following Frantic Stamper dies:

Lattice Heart 09739
Love Filled Heart 09116
Rose Filled Heart  09312
Petite Butterflies 09195
Large layering posies 09557
Medium layering posies 09556
Ectasy Crafts Dazzling Sunburst Embossing Folder EC-ECF-1005

Card #2 uses the same dies except for the posies and butterfly.

To make card #1, I inked some vellum with various shades of blue alcohol ink and let it dry. I detached the lattice part from the Lattice Heart after cutting it out with white glitter paper and used the heart with the scalloped edges from the same Lattice Heart for card #2.  For the center of card #2 I used a Hero Arts Stamp.

To see what any of these dies look like or to get details on the size of the dies, you can go to the Frantic Stamper website (www.franticstamper.com) and in the upper left corner in the search box, enter the 5 digit code of the dies as shown above.  For example, enter 09739 for the Lattice Heart.
