Basket Weave background card

This card is very simple to make when you use the Basket Weave Card Panel for the background.  There is no weaving involved; it's just a die that cuts the square holes and tick lines making it look like you spent a lot of time actually weaving the paper.

The Happy Easter words are also a die.  I simply cut them out and adhered with a glue pen.  The bunny is from the Assorted Bunnies set of 5.

This is an A2 card which is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2".  If you would like to see a chart of various card sizes, you can find one here.

3 Bunnies Easter card

I ordered these cute bunnies from Impression Obsession with a gift certificate after one of my cards won a challenge on their blog.  They are called the Egg Bunny Trio by

I wanted to use the Woven EF by We R Memory Keepers on an Easter card (available at so this seemed like a good time.  The Easter Eggs are from Ecstasy Crafts and the tall grass is by Poppy Stamps.

Marianne Design Rose Basket

To make this card,  I cut out the Rose Basket by Marianne Design using a glossy white cardstock then filled in the back with a matte white cardstock.  Marianne Design dies have a very pronounced embossing feature to them.  To even further enhance the embossing on the die, I left my paper right in the die and rubbed a stylus over the paper.  You can see the embossing on the roses, leaves and basket handle.

The background was made using the Ecstasy Crafts Delicate Hearts embossing folder which  I embossed on a piece of Core' dinations sandable cardstock.  The pink color was a little too dark so I covered it with an oval cut out of vellum.

The bottom edge was cut using the Scalloped Border Trio edge die.  If you've  never shopped at Ecstasy Crafts, you really should take a look.  They have some very nice dies, stamps, embossing folders and so much more.

Easter Egg Shaker Card

I'm entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge:  Shake it Up which can be found here:

For my card I used the Frantic Stamper Nested Eggs die to make the shaker part of the card and the Sun Rays Quilted Card Panel for the background.

I was told by another design team member, Kia, that if you put baby powder on the edges of the foam before you put the sequins in the shaker part, the sequins won't stick to the foam.  Great tip Kia!

So Very Thankful

I'm entering this card in the Impression Obsession Challenge:  Friends Forever which can be found here:

I used the Bunny Set DIE043-G and just reversed one of the bunnies so they would face each other.  After I had done that, I noticed their arms are kind of making the shape of a special is that for this Forever Friends card.

The stamp is also by Impression Obsession.  It is my favorite greeting stamp by IO.  The background was simply watercolored using Peeled Paint and Tumbled Glass distress inks.

My Card Won at Impression Obsession

I entered this card in a blog challenge put on by Impression Obsession Stamps last month and it won first place.  You can see it here:

Love this Hollyhocks die, don't you?  Here's another card I made using this same die:

Just a note to say ...................

On this card I used the Vertical Hearts by Frantic Stamper.  It is a reverse cut die where it cuts all the hearts out of your paper so you can use it right on your top card panel like in the above card or have it as a border like I did in the card below (I just framed the area to make it a border):

The first card also uses the "Just a note to say" die.  The "I love you" stamp is from the Valentine Lines clear stamp set.

For the second card, I cut out one of the Live Love Laugh dies in red foiled cardstock to match the heart border.  I like how these three words are all connected together thus eliminating any guesswork as far as placement issues.

Heartfall Happy Happy Happy

The hearts are cut from the  Frantic Stamper Heartfall die.  I paired it with the Happy Happy Happy die which is all one die (all 3 words are attached to each other for easy adhering).

In order to allow the words to stand out on the card and not blend in with the hearts, I left some of the hearts in the top panel to give it an area of white space.  I cut the Happy, happy, happy three times and adhered them on top of each other so they would be a little more obvious.

Here are two other cards I made using the Heartfall die:

One layer bunny card

I'm entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp One Layer Challenge which can be seen here:

I cut three of the Frantic Stamper Large Marshmallow Bunny using various dotted woodgrain papers and adhered them to the card front with a glue pen.  The stamp is by Craftsmart.

Designs by Ryn Leafy Branch

If you want realistic looking stamps, I love the Designs by Ryn brand.  I used the Leafy Branch stamp which is available at Frantic Stamper as part of an 8 stamp collection seen here:

I also used the Pinprick Circles die by Frantic Stamper, distress inks and distress markers.

Corner Sun Rays cards

Frantic Stamper has a new Sun Rays die called the Corner Sun Rays Quilted Card Panel (09730) which is very easy to use.  I cut it out twice so I could have the pink and the white rays.  Then I adhered the pink frame to the card base using a gel pen.

The I Love You and lips are from the Valentine Confetti die set.

Since I had cut this first card using both pink and glitter white cardstock, I had pieces leftover which I used to make this card:

The stamp set on the above card is the new Frantic Stamper clear stamp set #FRA-CL0038.

Rose Heart Happiness Always and Window Card

The rose inside the heart is the Frantic Stamper Rose Heart  die.  I cut it using red foil cardstock then stamped the greeting which is from the Frantic Stamper Clear Stamp Set FRA-CL-038 Wedding Wishes.

Here's a second card I made using the Rose Heart die but as a window card with acetate behind it:

For the above card, I did not add the heart frame around the solid heart part like I did on the first card.  When you cut this Rose Heart die, you get a heart frame AND the rose heart part -- two separate die cuts.

Pink Floral Happy Birthday

I'm entering this card in the Hero Arts Fabulous Flowers challenge which can be seen here:  I used the Hero Arts Happy Birthday from the Sending Smiles Message stamp set, CL 490 by Hero Arts.

The flowers are the Frantic Stamper Small and Medium Layering Posies along with the Petite Leaves.  The border is the Frantic Stamper Scalloped Border Trio.  I added white gel pen to make tiny dots in each of the scallops.

The background was made using the Die'Sire Embossalicious Knit One Pearl One EF.

The pink paper is by Authentique.

A Pile of Presents

This card could easily be given to a male or female just by changing the colors of the presents.  I wanted to keep the card crisp and clean looking so I used the tied strings die in black and then also cut the word "birthday" out of black cardstock.  The word "happy" is from the new stamp set called Celebration.  I took just the word happy from the stamp set and paired it with the "birthday" die since I think mixing and matching stamps with dies gives a whole different look.

Happy 2nd Birthday

I have a nephew with a birthday coming up where he will turn 2 years old.  I liked the giraffe die that comes in the Noah's African Animals #2 set (same set the gorilla came in on previous cards) so I cut it out using some brown dotted paper by Authentique.  For the mirror image of the giraffe, I just cut the die out on the back side of the paper.

I also used some dotted paper by Authentique for the pile of presents to give them a more cutesy and youthful appearance.

I used the following Frantic Stamper products to make this card;

Trio of Twos 09764

I Luv U Forever

I made this card originally to be from a male to be given to a female, thus the black and white again.   Then I realized how simple it would be to reverse it and have it be a card that a female would give to a male.  All I had to do was add a pair of lips like on the card below:

I used the Frantic Stamper Stitched Petal Squares, cutting the smallest in white and the next largest in black to get the framed look.  Then I filled the centers with the "I luv U" from the Valentine Confetti set.  The lips are also from the Valentine Confetti set.  I have been using that die set on almost all of my cards lately in one way or another; there are so many parts to it.  The last step was to stamp on the word Forever from the Frantic Stamper clear stamp set called Wedding Wishes.
