Sue Wilson Floret Circle card

To make this card, I first used water based markers to color in the back of the stamp.  It's a fairly detailed stamp but was very easy to color in.   I then spritzed some water on the stamp and stamped it on some watercolor cardstock, then immediately spritzed one more time and stamped on a new piece of watercolor cardstock.  This made the second stamp much lighter than the first:

I will use the first one for another card later.  For now, I will focus on the lighter one.

To bring out the lavender flowers a little more, I mixed some Cosmic Shimmer Colour Cloud Lavender Lace Blending Ink with some Cosmic Shimmer Aurora Sparkle Texture Paste and painted it over the flowers with a tiny brush.  When it dried, it made the flowers sparkle.

The background layer behind the wreath layer and the bow were both made by rubbing on some Golden Lilac Gilding Wax right on some white cardstock.  I applied it fairly heavily with my finger for a darker lavender look.  This gilding wax is a great way to add shine to your cardstock without the mess of glitter or embossing powder.  You just rub it on with a finger and it washes off with soap and water.

I also used some Chic Aubergine Colour Cloud Blending Ink around the top layer of the card to blend it in a little more with the lavender layer under it.  This ink comes in a variety of the prettiest colors.

All of the products used on my card are available at Ecstasy Crafts.  Be sure to check them out and like them on Facebook here:
