An Early Christmas Card

I'm still in the Fall / Halloween card making mode so switching gears to make Christmas cards is confusing, especially since I haven't cleaned off my desk after making Halloween cards yet.

I got this new Marianne Design Pine Tree Branches stamp and wanted to see what it looked like so I stamped it with distress ink but it came out very light.  Then I decided to color right on the stamp with a distress marker and it came out showing every single branch.  I actually can't wait to try this stamp with some embossing powders to see how it works.  It should be beautiful.

For today's card I also used Dee's Distinctively Classic Merry Christmas die.  I needed a big word die to fit between the upper and lower branches and this one worked out great, plus I really like the font on it.

The snowflakes were cut from the Lattice Snowflake die by Sue Wilson.  I adhered some tiny gems to the snowflakes with some Cosmic Shimmer Specialist Acrylic Glue since I thought the card needed a little more red on it.

I really like this glue because it has such a fine tip nozzle which allows you to get the smallest dots of glue where you need them, it dries clear and is super strong.
