Easter Wishes

Since I'm not one to make St. Patrick's Day cards, I figured I'd get a start on my Easter cards.  I've been making a lot of cards lately using this Sue Wilson Ornate Pierced Rectangles die and wanted to make an Easter one with it as well.  I just think the die is so pretty.

To make the card base, I folded a piece of 12 x 12 cardstock (blue) and cut the second largest Ornate Rectangle on it, leaving one long side of the rectangle die hanging off the fold of the paper to make the shaped card base.

Once that was done, I cut the second largest die again but this time on yellow paper so I could back the front of the card with it.  Then I cut the smallest of the rectangles on white cardstock for the center of the card.

I haven't made a scene card in a while and all these dies made me realize I need to make more of them.  After cutting the chicks, I chose two that fit the card and manually cut some wings for them.  I colored their feet and beaks with distress markers and raised up the wings with foam tape.

I used the following dies to make this card:

Frantic Stamper Easter Bunny & Chicks (carrot) FRA9129

Frantic Stamper Petite Eggs FRA9388

EK Success Paper Punch Small Butterfly

I hope you liked the card and will stop back to check out tomorrow's cards.

Thanks for stopping by -- Ann
