Today I have another card using the Sue Wilson Ornate Pierced Rectangles dies. . . . .one of my recent favorites.
To make the card base, I folded a piece of 12 x 12 cardstock in half and placed the largest of the dies in this set on the paper with one cutting edge hanging over the fold on the paper so it would leave one side attached.
I then cut out the layers from biggest to smallest. I wanted to try adding more layers than I normally use (inspired by Donna Ellis and her lovely layered cards) so I also cut one of the Sue Wilson Lattice Stitched Frames and fit it to one of the ornate rectangles:
To make it fit the rectangle, I traced around the outside of the die onto the lattice then cut on the lines with my paper trimmer.
Since it is glitter paper, I used double sided tape to hold the lattice to the rectangle:
I stamped my stamp onto a rectangle from the Sue Wilson Pacific Ocean Collection- Background die set and framed it with one of the more intricate dies also in that set:
The flower is the Sue Wilson Perfect Peony Complete Petals which I cut out of white paper and inked the edges with Old Paper distress ink. The brown leaves are the Sue Wilson Faux Quilled Leaves. The center rose in the flower and the orange silk leaves are both from my Recollections stash.
