Snowflake Corners

The current challenge at Impression Obsession Stamps is 'Tis the Season.  This time I decided to make a card for the Christmas season unlike my first card which I made for Thanksgiving.

I used the following Impression Obsession products on my card:

CC177 Wooden Plank Cover-a-Card Background Stamp
DIE236  Merry Christmas
DIE100  Small Snowflake Set
DIE098  Holly Leaf Cluster

To make the card, I stamped the Wooden Plank on white paper using my MISTI and Hero Arts Soft Granite Shadow Ink.  Then I cut out the Merry Christmas 3 times but it didn't stand out enough on the background so I adhered the words to a piece of white cardstock then cut around the edges, leaving a small white border all the way around.

The snowflakes were cut out twice each and adhered on top of each other for a bit of dimension.  I cut the small snowflakes out of silver foiled cardstock and the larger ones out of a silver shimmer paper.  To finish the snowflakes, I added some tiny white pearls to the centers.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look ~ Ann

  1. Hi, Ann! What a lovely way of showcasing the sentiment, by layering it, and then placing it on another piece of CS with your meticulously fussy cut method around it. It's so sparkly and full of good cheer! hugs, de

  2. Gorgeous, your wood background looks terrific, love the snowflakes done with the different papers and cutting around the sentiment to help it stand out was a great idea!
