JOY card, Thursday July 5, 1:00-3:00 pm, $15.00

Make as many of this card as time allows.  It is raised up in two places to give it dimension -- simple looking yet very elegant and easy / quick to make.

I will provide all the materials to make this card except adhesives.  Please bring two sided tape in any width, roller adhesive, a fine tip glue pen (or a bottle of Glossy Accents) and foam adhesive dots or squares in two sizes:  any large size to go under the top layer of the card and very tiny squares or dots to fit under the word "JOY".  You will also need your paper trimmer and scissors.

Please email me at if you wish to register for this class.  Do not email me by replying back to this blog as the email does not go anywhere.  The deadline to register for the class is Wed, July 4.

Swirl Christmas Tree Card Class - Thurs, June 28 at 1:00 - 3:00pm, $20

Since Hobby Lobby is stocking their shelves with Christmas items, I figured it was appropriate to get a head start on making Christmas and holiday cards; so for the next few weeks, that is what we will be making in class.

This is a card that is super quick to make and can easily be mass produced.

The embossing folder used on these cards is The Swirled Christmas Tree by Crafts Too CTFD4014 which is available through Ovid

All the materials will be provided to make these cards, except for the adhesives.  Please bring the following tools and adhesives:

A Paper Trimmer that will cut through heavy glitter paper
Roller adhesive AND two sided tape such as Scor-Tape, 1/2 inch or 1/4 inch will be fine
A pair of tweezers to apply the gems with if desired and a pair of scissors

I used a bottle of diamond stickles on the gold trees but since stickles take a while to dry, they will need to be applied at home.  Class size is limited to 4.   The last day to register for this class is Tuesday, June 26 before 12:00 noon by email at

New Class Days and Times

My classes at Hobby Lobby will be moving to Thursdays from 1pm to 3pm beginning June 28.  I will no longer be offering evening classes; however, instructions for all the classes I will be teaching will be available for purchase online.  Just send me an email of the class title that you want the instruction for and I will send you an invoice.  You can then pay that invoice thru Pay Pal using a credit card or your Pay Pal account.  Once I receive notice from Pay Pal that payment has been made, I will email you the PDF file with the instructions.  This can all happen within a 24 hr. period.

If, however, you want an evening class for a certain project that you see on my blog, it can always be arranged.  Just get at least 3 people together to take the class and prepay for it ahead of time.  Most evenings are available at the store classroom, you can see the availability at the Hobby Lobby website under stores, then classes.

I will also be offering scrapbooking classes as well as card making classes beginning immediately.  The type of scrapbooking classes will consist of interactive pages, not your normal layouts.  Some examples of the interactive pages are double slider cards on a scrapbook page, accordion fold albums on a page, waterfall cards, photo wheels, and other things that allow the viewer to pull tabs to reveal more photos, etc.  I will be posting photos on my blog shortly.

July's classes will be about Christmas and holiday card making mostly.  I am working on some new white Christmas cards that will use a double embossing technique, along with some pink holiday cards using a the polished stone technique.  Watch for the blog posts in a few days.

I hope some of you can join us in the afternoons on Thursdays this summer.  Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or want to discuss any class ideas at

Waterfall cards, Monday, June 18 @ 5:45pm, $20

These cards can be used alone as a greeting card or can be made with photos and adhered to a scrapbook page as in the photo above.  You simply pull the tab at the bottom or side of the card which makes the squares adhered to the pull tab flip up one at a time exposing the next one and the next one, etc.

I will provide the cardstock and stamps, along with butterfly stamps, to make the black and white card in the photo above.  If you want to bring your own cardstock and scrapbook paper, you can do so.  I will provide  written instructions via email after the class so you can make more cards on your own at home.  Brads and ribbon will also be provided.

The tools you need to bring to class to make this card will be:

Paper Trimmer
Scoring Board and bone folder
Roller adhesive
Double sided tape 1/4 inch wide such as Scor-Tape or red sticky back tape
A pair of scissors

Please email me at if you wish to take this class.  Do not reply to this blog email as it does not come back to me.  The deadline to register for this class is Friday, June 15 to allow me time to get materials ready.  There will be no exceptions to the deadlines for any summer classes as summers are very busy with other things going on. Once I have materials gathered for class, I don't have time to go back and add more materials for people who are registering after the deadline.

If you don't have a scoring board, please let me know when you register for the class so I can pack an extra one for you, otherwise, I don't bring extras with me.
