New Sympathy Cards

Do you ever have a stash of card "parts" on your desk just waiting to be used but you aren't sure how to use them?  Well all of these cards were made with parts that I had accumulated.  I just added some ink where needed and cut some leaves if necessary.  After the cards are made, it always feels good to get that stuff off your desk.

The background is made by applying distress markers to the entire sheet of paper, then spritzing it with water to get the colors to blend

Distress ink applied to paper with blending tool, then entire paper spritzed with Perfect Pearls.
Mask off the middle area for your greeting then stamp the leaves all over.  This is called a single layer card which I have never made until now.

I had this acetate flower hanging around for years after we made them in a class at Hobby Lobby.  I finally found a use for it.  Background is stamped with the Impression Obsession gradation stamp.

Colorful Halloween cards

I got this idea from Sharri Carroll's flicker site but changed it slightly to fit the SU Top Note Die.  I created an svg to cut on the Cricut in SCAL to fit perfectly behind the Top Note die for layering, in this case, the black is a folded card.

Also saw something similar to this on Pinterest but added to it

Another card similar to one on Pinterest but changed the colors and other things slightly

Another Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up ghost

BOO shaped word and ghost from www.thecuttingcafe.typepad.com which I cut out on my Cricut.
This is a great place to buy shaped cards and other svg's for SCAL

Pink and Black Halloween Cards

For a few years now people have been making pink Christmas cards instead of the typical green and red, so I figured why not think outside the box for once and try changing the colors on Halloween cards, like using pink instead of orange.

Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up ghosts, Memory Box spider web, Martha Stewart iron fence punch, background paper stamped with Impression Obsession fluff background stamp, label from Stampin' Up.

The above card was run through the Cuttlebug using the Square Lattice embossing folder from SU after all the pieces were adhered to the black background

Grand Madison Window Halloween cards

All of these cards were made using the Poppy Stamps Grand Madison Window die:

The spider is one of the spiders from the Memory Box Scary Spiders die and the web is the Memory Box Delicate Spider Web die:

The above two cards were made using the Memory Box Ghost Trio die:

Halloween dots cards

I got this idea from a pink birthday card on Pinterest, you can see the card if you click on the link below:

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2287606

Then after making the above card, I had a bunch of punched out circles left over so I made this card:

Cricut Paper Dolls Dress Up Halloween cards

The skull is a Martha Stewart punch punched out on crackle paper from JoAnn Fabric; the spider and word are cut on the Cricut using SCAL.
The ghost and bats are all cut on the Cricut using the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge........the greeting is a longer than normal one so I followed the pin on pinterest on how to get a longer punch out of the Stampin' Up punches.  You can see that pin on my Pinterest board called Techniques
Ghosts cut out on the Cricut using Paper Doll dress up, bats are a small EKSuccess punch, glued everything on the purple paper then ran the entire thing thru the Cuttlebug using SU' square lattice embossing folder.
Mummy was cut on Cricut using Paper Doll dress up, glued to black layer and run thru the Cuttlebug with square lattice embossing folder

Impression Obsession Fluff Background Stamp

The background stamp made up of tiny dots and swirls is the Impression Obsession stamp called Cover a Card Fluff.  It can be purchased at SimonSaysStamp.com or at FranticStamper.com and other places I'm sure.   Frantic Stamper ships things out much faster and you will normally have your purchase within 2 days.
The tree die is the Grand Willow Tree by Memory Box and the ghosts are also by Memory Box.  The "BOO from the Crew" stamp is one I picked up years ago at Michaels.  The signs on the trees are just stamped and hand cut then inked around the edges.

Memory Box Spider Web Frame cards

The above card has pom-poms on the spiders to give them more dimension
Memory box spider dies were used on the above card, which when opened, has an inside that looks like the card below.  The white is a Spellbinders label die which is very close to the shape of the spider web frame.
The word "eek" was cut out on the Cricut using Sure Cuts a Lot.  More cards to follow since I just touched the surface of using this die.

Witch in Cauldron card

The cauldron is on the Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge but the legs and boots are from a die by LifeStyle Crafts called Witch Kit as seen below.

Halloween Coffin cards

The ribbon is holding the coffin in place on the card.  When you slide out the coffin and open it, you see below what is inside the coffin.

This coffin is attached right to the front of the card but you can still open it to see who is inside below:

The mummy and vampire stickers are from SandyLion Essentials from a few years back at JoAnn Fabric.  Finally got to use them all up on these cards.  The coffin is an svg file for the Cricut SCAL.    All of these cards will be at my garage sale in the Fall.
