Vintage Cup of Roses

I'm trying my hand at making cards that have more stamping and fewer die cuts.  I really like how the two look together.

Today's card features the Sizzix Bigz Tea Time cups die which I cut on chipboard.  I painted on some white gesso then stamped the Anna Griffin rose with distress inks.  The background Abandoned Coral layer is embossed with the Kaisercraft Tiny Roses embossing folder then highlighted with Vintage Photo distress ink using a finger dauber.

The roses are by Recollections and the leaves are from a variety of the Tim Holtz Funky Florals thinlits.  The oval is also a Tim Holtz thinlit called Stitched Ovals which I stamped with the French Script stamp by Impression Obsession and added some stenciling with distress inks.  I added half a doily and some shading beneath the cup.

Thanks for stopping by ~ Ann
